Manuel Vieira presented preliminary results of the project "PAMEggs - Assessing temporal and spatial spawning overlap between invasive weakfish (Cynoscion regalis) and native meagre (Argyrosomus regius) with Passive Acoustic Monitoring" at the XXVⅢ International Bioacoustics Congress (IBAC2023) in Sapporo (Japan) and at the XX Congress of the Portuguese Ethological Society (SPE2023) in Vila do Conde (Portugal).
This project proposes characterise the temporal and spatial overlap of spawning aggregations of the invase weakfish and the native meagre in the Tagus estuary using PAM.
